The Value of a Private, Christian Education at the Lutheran Schools of Lincoln

About Lutheran Schools of Lincoln

Integrating the pursuit of knowledge with faith formation

Our private schools educate the whole child—academically, socially, and spiritually. Our students and families value the experience that a private school offers, including:

Small class sizes, which means more one-on-one interaction for your child

A close knit community of families, teachers, and administrators that support one another

Social and emotional intelligence

Biblical worldview that is Christ-centered

A well rounded extracurricular experience

Early Childhood

Our preschool programs give kids a head start on learning and development through play and active learning. Our preschool programs stimulate children's natural curiosity and imagination while laying the groundwork for a lifetime of learning and faith in Christ.

K Through 5

Our four private elementary schools give children a head start in developing a strong foundation of their Christian faith while adhering to a high-quality, academic curriculum. We keep our classes small so that we can provide each student with plenty of individual attention.

6 Through 8

Lincoln Lutheran offers a unique, school-wide mentoring program to help middle school students navigate this phase of life. “Every middle school child should have someone in their corner”, says Sean Wieting, 6th grade teacher at Lincoln Lutheran Middle and High School. A school-wide mentoring program matches every 7th and 8th student with a mentor based on similar interests and personalities.

High School

Lincoln Lutheran serves students in grades 6 through 12 as a private, Christian, college preparatory school with teachers that know and care about each student as an individual. The extracurriculars develop students’ God-given talents through high-quality coaching and instruction, plus, because of our smaller size, students have a greater opportunity to participate in a wider range of extracurriculars such as multiple sports, music, drama, and leadership to expand their horizons and become well-rounded individuals.
