Lutheran Schools of Lincoln Continue to Thrive

School Year Off to a Great Start

The 2021-22 school year is off to a great start! Enrollment in elementary grades is at an all-time high. We have amazing teachers working with students as they approach the end of the first quarter of the year. Students are enjoying challenging lessons, field trips, and other amazing learning experiences. Clubs and other activities are providing our young people with additional opportunities to grow in leadership and social skills. Our schools and students have a lot going on! God is good!

Unique Benefits

The opportunity to challenge students with a strong academic curriculum in a smaller school setting with Christ as the center of all that we do continues to be a core reason our schools exist. Welcoming students from a variety of church and faith backgrounds provides us the privilege to help students truly know, and learn how to share, the love and mercy of Jesus. In a world that has become increasingly confused and fractured, our students know where their anchor lies and that Jesus, as the anchor, holds them tightly in His grip regardless of the storms that may come.

Covid Remains an Impact

Our community has seen a second surge of Covid infections. The unfortunate addition of a mask ordinance to start the school year was an unwelcome surprise. But, if we have learned anything in the past 18 months, we simply adjust and adapt. The blessing of our smaller schools is that we can pivot very quickly to meet the needs of our students and their families. While we are ready for masks to be a thing of the past, our students and staff have done an amazing job of just “dealing with it.” I do believe everyone is thankful to be together for in-person learning and we are confident that normalcy will return very soon!

Graduates Excelling

Each year we get the opportunity to hear how students who’ve benefited from an education within LSL thrive beyond their high school graduation. Whether attending a large university, a smaller college, or entering the workforce, our students share with us they’ve been well-prepared for this very important transition into adulthood. We are thankful for amazing teachers who continue to challenge and encourage our students to excel, fulfilling who God has called them to be, as they seek to make an impact on the world around them.
