Discover Lutheran education in Lincoln. The Lutheran Schools of Lincoln (LSL) are a vibrant and high-quality choice for your family, providing intentional and directed growth from the time your child enters school until they graduate. As your hearts and minds are invested, we ensure they are also nurtured and protected. Along the way, you will receive the personal care and attention that will help your child and family succeed.
As a parent, you want your child to grow up with beliefs that are consistent with your family’s values. Our schools provide an environment where Christian ideals are instilled in children as they learn about the world that God has created for them. Children and families learn that they have an alternative to the values and lifestyles that are commonly demonstrated in popular culture. In the process, they are taught that they are loved, they have a purpose in life, and that it is possible to live with Christian character in a modern world.
Lutheran school teachers and staff see each student and their family as individuals. They provide individualized attention, encouragement, and problem-solving. This takes the form of smaller class sizes, classroom prayer, closer relationships with parents, and the application of Biblical teaching and guidance in all situations.
Students from the Lutheran Schools of Lincoln typically rank among the highest in standardized testing scores in the region. Our fifth graders depart their elementary campuses ready for a confident and successful middle school experience, regularly outpacing their peers in local public districts based on state standard proficiencies. Lincoln Lutheran High School traditionally has the highest ACT scores of all Lincoln high schools.
Love – Trust – Humbleness – Repentance – Forgiveness – Discernment – Obedience – Hope
We have known for years that intelligence, emotional health, exposure to the arts, and physical activity all have a positive impact on academic success. All of these are important components of our school day.
Did you know that studies also show that faith development has a positive impact on academic performance? Even more importantly, faith development makes an eternal difference in the lives of our children and those with whom they interact throughout their lives.
LSL students and families are actively engaged in service to one another, their community, and the world. Here are a few of the places you’ll see us serving in our community: City Impact, People’s City Mission, Family of God Urban Mission Church, Children’s Hospital of Omaha, Lighthouse Family Retreat, Royal Family Kids Camp, Capital Humane Society, Friendship Home, Lincoln Pregnancy Center, Haiti Lutheran Mission Society, Operation Christmas Child, any many more.
We know, and teach our children, that as we serve, we are sharing Jesus, meeting both physical and spiritual needs as we love God, love others, and share Christ.
